Writing

This namespace is for where the paper goes, and how the related-work section is allowed to count. It is not a guide to prose, CORE ranks, or how a programme committee works. The publication corpus behind these pages is seven venues (CCS, IMC, NDSS, PETS, USENIX Security, TheWebConf, IEEE S&P, 2010–2026, 5,859 extracted papers). Only 1,120 of them ran a crawl. Each child names its own population.

A namespace page outlines the pages inside it rather than carrying its own content. 1) Both children below are written.

The pages

Page What a student needs it for
Conferences Where to send a web-measurement paper, among these seven venues and the ones the corpus is missing.
Literature review How a related-work section is allowed to count, and the trap in a keyword-derived denominator.

Where this namespace stops

  • corpus — how this site's own corpus was built. A related-work section that cites “the literature” without a denominator is the trap Literature review is about; the funnel is on the corpus page.
  • start — the site map. This namespace does not repeat it.
  • contributing — wiki syntax and review. Not a publication venue.
  • Study preregistration — depositing the analysis plan. Not a related-work method.
  • Artifacts — the deposit a 2026 Available badge will accept.

Methodology and limitations of these figures

The 5,859 / 1,120 are paper counts from the 5,859-paper extraction (seven venues, 2010–2026). 2025–2026 venue-years are provisional — see corpus. The child count 2 is a wiki-page count as of 2026-08-27. Queries: writing. Joint sitting: design.
